About Covenant House California
Covenant House California addresses homelessness when it begins – in young adulthood, when HOPE and possibility are still strong. We EMPOWER youth to harness their strengths, that they may leave homelessness behind for good.
Covenant House California (CHC) is a non-profit youth shelter that provides sanctuary and support for youth experiencing homelessness, ages 18-24. We believe that no young person deserves to be homeless; that every young person in California deserves shelter, food, clothing, education … and most importantly, to be loved. CHC provides a full continuum of services to meet the physical, emotional, educational, vocational, and spiritual well-being of young people, in order to provide them with the best chance for success in independence.

Covenant House changed my life and gave me a future. They gave me hope and helped me understand more about myself. They showed me how to put together a 5 year plan when I didn’t have one. They gave me the opportunity to succeed in life with a full scholarship to Precise Barber College. Today, I’m a barber & entrepreneur! Life still has challenges, but I’m able to support myself and my daughter. I want to be the best Dad I can be, providing her with all the love and opportunities I didn’t have as a kid.
